Italian Empire personality type is ESTP, not ISTP. The reason for this is that the Italian personality type is a combination of the Italian traits of being loyal, open, and direct while being a leader and an individual.
Assuming ISTP’s have a dominant function of Extraverted Sensing (Se) and a secondary function of Introverted Thinking (Ti) and that they are well developed (consistent and clear) Extraverted Sensing (Se) and Introverted Thinking (Ti), then the only other possible ISTP personality type is ESTP.
I would like to say that both ESTP and ISTP are equally valid and equally real, but unfortunately ISTPs and ESTPs tend to be somewhat underrated and overlooked. I think this is mostly due to the fact that ESTPs and ISTPs take on attitudes and forms that can be somewhat dismissive or inconsiderate, but I don’t think this is true in general. I do think that ESTPs and ISTPs can sometimes take on a form of arrogant, bossy, or condescending ways, but this is just a side effect of their ability to be overly confident, true to themselves, and direct in their speech and actions.

The Fascist government that came to power with dictator Benito Mussolini after 1922 sought to increase the size of the Italian empire and to satisfy the claims of Italian irredentists. Systematic "demographic colonization" was encouraged by the government, and by 1939, Italian settlers numbered 120,000-150,000 in Italian Libya and 165,000 in Italian East Africa.
