Scramm personality type is ESFP, and he is highly idealistic and spontaneous, much like a child, so he must be careful to not get too excited by the news and to leave room for other people to react. I was so excited to tell him, but he just said, “Hi, Mom.” that was all the reaction I got. He’s my son and I love him so much, but I had to remind myself of that.
The more I think about it, though, I’m glad he didn’t freak out. I would have felt horrible if he had reacted badly. I want to instill good values in my kids and this is such a big step. I am thrilled for him. I want him to have fun with it and to enjoy the experience, and if that means the news keeps its distance, so be it. It’s not like we’re trying to keep it a secret!
