King personality type is ENFP, and we see this in his interactions with other characters. He’s willing to help others, and, although he won’t admit it, he’s a little bit envious of how he’s always able to fit in and do great things. When we contrast him with the character of Emmett Brown from Back to the Future, the two are beyond the pale in terms of eccentricity.
In terms of his relationship with his parents, he’s a little bit more conflicted because he’s not really sure what type they are. He’s sometimes attracted to their ideals, but sometimes he feels he’s falling down on the job. This is something we all struggle with in our relationships, because we’re often in a position where we want to be a good parent but we’re not a good child. We want to be a good person, but we’re not being a good person.
