The Manga Story:
Kuma is a new type of manga created by Kyo Shirodaira and published by Shogakukan. It is a long running manga that first started in May 2009 and has spawned several spin off manga and anime shows. The anime first premiered on TV Tokyo in January 2012 and has since been broadcasted on TV Osaka and TV Aichi. The manga series has been serialized in the weekly manga magazine Shonen Sunday and has been collected in 32 tankobon volumes as of October 2016. The series is also available as an online manga published on Shogakukan's dōjinshi site dōjinshi.net. The series has been licensed by Viz Media for an English language release. The first issue of the English language manga was released on December 14, 2017. The English language manga series is currently still ongoing.
