    Thomas Thorne
    INFP

    INFP (4w5)

Thomas Thorne personality type is INFP, but her second personality is a ghostly "shadow" personality, INTP, who lives in a parallel universe. She sees the world as a series of choices and deals with them by making a decision and acting on it, which is why she's able to get through the day without killing herself.

The main character of this story is actually an INFP, and she moves through her life as such for most of the book. It's only near the end that she undergoes a change.

We do see glimpses of her INTP shadow, but not enough to really understand her other personality.

To me, this story was more about the INTP shadow than it was about the INFP shadow, and I would say that the INFP shadow is more prominent in the real world than this one.

Bottom line: This is a great example of an INFP's ability to deal with serious issues like depression and suicidal thoughts without resorting to violence. It's also a great example of someone who feels like she has to take control of her life and make decisions for herself. And it's a great example of the INTP shadow that feels like it doesn't exist at all.

Thomas Thorne was an English actor and theatre manager. Thomas Thorne was one of the founding managers of London's Vaudeville Theatre, along with David James and Henry James Montague, and performed leading roles in many of the productions there. His father was Richard Samuel Thorne, who managed the Surrey Theatre. His older sister, Sarah Thorne, was an actress. His younger brother, George Thorne, was also an actor, best known for his performances in the comic baritone roles of the Savoy Operas with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company. His nephew was the actor Frank Gillmore, and his great-nieces the actresses Ruth Gillmore and Margalo Gillmore. Thorne was married to Adelaide Newton, whom he had met when they were both actors with the Royal Strand Theatre, but the marriage was not a happy one. According to Erroll Sherson, Thomas Thorne died penniless and insane.
