Chet Perez personality type is ESFP, and we all know that ESFPs are dreamers, so of course he wants to be a musician. He just doesn’t want to do it in a careerist sense. Well, he couldn’t, anyway.
What keeps him going is that he loves writing and performing music. That doesn’t make him a good person, of course, but it does mean he doesn’t have to be a good person in order to pursue his dreams.
So he’s got the dream and the personality type that makes him able to pursue it. He’s just not very good at it.
Chet Perez is a friend of mine from band camp when I was a senior in high school. We were both in the band and we were both playing our instruments for the first time. We hit it off immediately.
We’ve been through a lot together and we’ve both come a long way from that moment in band camp when I saw him play for the first time.
I can remember a few years ago when he told me he was writing a memoir based on the stories in his journal. He was very excited about it.
