    Mungojerrie
    ENTP

    ENTP (7w6)

Mungojerrie personality type is ENTP, and this is why it is so hard for them to tune into the emotions of others. For the most part, the ENTP simply views emotion as a tool to be used to manipulate others and to further their own interests, which is of course very logical and responsible.

However, the ENTP has a very hard time understanding why others would be hurt by these manipulations, and therefore they can come off as very insensitive or even downright rude. While the ENTP is certainly capable of empathy, they do it in such a detached and rational way that it often comes across as cold and impassive, and this is what causes so many problems with their relationships.

Because of this, romantic partners of an ENTP often react with considerable anger and resentment towards their partner’s lack of emotional response. This is why the ENTP personality type is often described as unfeeling or cold, although really the truth is that they simply don’t know how to show their emotions.

In order to understand how this happens with the ENTP personality type, it’s necessary to understand their external motivations.

Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer are fictional characters in T. S. Eliot's 1939 poetry book Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats. The Jellicle cat duo are mischievous petty thieves who often cause trouble for their human family. Although originally published as part of a collection, the poem "Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer" was published as a standalone book by Faber and Faber in 2018. Eliot's book was adapted into the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Cats. The roles of Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer were originated by John Thornton and Bonnie Langford in the West End in 1981.
