Ergo Proxy personality type is INFP, which is one of the most common types in anime.
I’m not surprised that it is INFP. As an INFP myself, I can see lots of similarities between us and the Ergo Proxy characters. I’d say it’s more like these characters are “me,” with some minor changes. I find most characters in anime to be pretty similar to the INFPs I know in real life.
It’s also interesting to note that Ergo Proxy has a lot of themes of sameness with the world, which is very common with INFPs. The people are all physically identical, and they are all treated as non-individuals. People are given numbers, and are expected to conform to society. It’s also very reminiscent of being alone in society with no one to connect with, which is another common theme for INFPs.
It’s also worth noting that the lead character, Proxy, is an INFP. She has many of the characteristics of an INFP, such as being overly attached to her environment, feeling isolated, and having the need to connect to others.
