There was one question though: was the "no swivel upper body" part of the design given to his dominant function, or was it just a bug? In FFVIII, the Lifestream clearly had a strong influence on Angeal's behavior, so it would make sense that the Lifestream would require him to be able to rotate his upper body, just like it did with Zack and Cloud. This explains why he wasn't able to do so.
