Eithné's mother and father were both ENFJ types — and, as I see it, they must have had a very good reason for their choice of children and the kind of children they were. As far as I know, Eithné and her sister, Hélène, are the only children of their parents' first marriages.
But at least those two children were chosen by their parents! For those of us who aren't so lucky, the task of choosing a type is more difficult than it looks at first glance. When we're choosing a type, our choices are limited not only by what we're given, but also by what we're not — and we're never sure which is which!

I've often wondered why my mother and father always seemed to pick me and my sister Eithné for the Eithné personality type — not only me, but us both together! Why would they choose us? For most of our lives we were the only two Eithnés in the world — and yet they were both ENFJs themselves.
