The ISTP is a very literal, practical type. He can be seen as a robot, because he does not understand emotions or feelings, only actions and reactions. He also has a hard time seeing the long-term effects of his actions, because he wants to have immediate gratification. The ISTP is motivated by the here and now, not by the future.
ISTPs do not see themselves as one of the “people” because they are not concerned with what others think of them.
