Wensleydale personality type is ISTJ, and I just don't see it. If he was a highly original and creative type, I'd be more inclined to go with that, but he just seems like a fairly traditionalist, and seems to be fairly conventional in his habits and values. His idealism is fairly clear-cut as well. That said, he does seem to have a fairly rich inner life as well as a fairly rich imagination, though as I said, not as rich as some ISTJs I've known.
In general, I think ISTJs are great people. They're fairly reliable and trustworthy, they make great parents and good spouses, they're practical and realistic about their goals and values, and they're very loyal and supportive of those they consider friends. They're not particularly innovative or creative, but they're good at their jobs and good at planning and organizing things. They tend to be fairly conservative on social issues, on the whole, though they tend to be highly moralistic, so they can be quite judgmental at times.
I think the most interesting thing about the ISTJ is that they tend to have fairly strong moral codes and standards, so they have a hard time with people who are not very moral.
