Michael Spencer is a British-based writer and podcaster who I’ve been following since the early days of the internet. He’s become something of a hero to me, and there’s a lot to be said about his work and the way he does it.
He hosts a podcast called The DIY Life, which focuses on DIY things DIYers often do — like music production and artist promotion — and while it’s not the kind of show that has downloads, it’s a very valuable one in terms of information and inspiration for anyone interested in the creative arts. He’s also got a number of books under his belt, including Self-Publishing Made Simple, DIY Music Production, and The DIY Life Guide to Myths, Monsters, and Other Unexplained Phenomena.
