Memphis, TN USA personality type is ISTP, and the first thing that comes to my mind is, "how is this possible?"
When I was younger, I remember one of my friends being ISTP and we would hang out a lot together. She seemed so "loud", but she was actually very quiet and reserved. I remember she said that she would never be outgoing, but if she was around people, she would talk more. She just couldn't help it.
As I've been more in the field of MBTI and ISTP MBTI, I've realized that the ISTP personality type is described as being reserved, quiet, and private. I've read that for the ISTP, it's difficult for them to understand and handle body language, tone of voice, facial expressions, and other social cues. The MBTI theory for ISTP is that they're introverted, trusting, quiet, reserved, and private.
I find it hard to believe that there are people out there who are so reserved and quiet that they don't speak very much and they have a hard time with other people, who are however quite outgoing and loud. That doesn't seem natural to me.
