Taiwan personality type is INFP, which has given Taiwanese people a very creative and imaginative mind that is always looking for new ways to express themselves. This has given Taiwanese people a very unique outlook on life. The problem comes when those creative minds are put into the traditional, monotonous Chinese culture.
It’s always been a struggle for Taiwanese people to express themselves in their own culture, but with the rise of the internet and social media in the past decade, it’s become easier. Taiwanese people are more than likely going to be on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. They want to express themselves and they want to be heard.
So why is it so hard for them to do that in their own culture? Because they are put into this monotonous environment where they are faced with constant pressure to please others. They are expected to act a certain way and only keep up with their “Chinese” appearance, which is much different than those in the West.
The Taiwanese people want to be able to express themselves, but they feel stuck in a culture that doesn’t allow them to do so without someone giving them a stern look or giving them a hard time.
