I believe that Dojima cares very deeply for everyone he meets, but has a hard time showing it. This is because he fears that people won’t like him and that he might disappoint them. Because of this fear, he feels that he has to be fake to avoid the pain of rejection. He doesn’t want to be rejected by anyone because he would feel that he could never live up to the expectations that people might have for him.
