Sae is one of the few characters to be a main character in a series, though she is the only one to be a main character in two series.
In the first series she is very similar to Ayase in that she is an energetic and energetic girl who loves to play pranks like Ayase does. She has a big interest in hand-to-hand combat, and even though it may be uncharacteristic for a girl, she is extremely strong, being able to easily defeat her male peers. Sae also loves sweets and can be somewhat of a crybaby at times.
In the second series she is very different from her original personality, being much more serious and mature. She is somewhat quiet, almost shy, and often gets along with other characters with similar personalities such as Chiyo or Chihaya. She also has a crush on Chihaya, which often causes her to blush when her feelings are revealed to someone else, as seen in episode 9 of the first series when she blushes when Reina confesses her feelings for Chihaya.
