The Art of the Ninja
Ninja are an ancient warrior class known for their stealth, skills, and spirit. They are also known as Bushidō Ninjas, which translates to "the way of the warrior who acts with the spirit of the Ninja." This is one of the more unique definitions of Ninja, however. Other definitions include "that which is hidden" or "a sacred place."
It's interesting that the Ninja's role is to be a stealth warrior. A stealth warrior has no special tools or abilities, but relies on skill, intelligence, and stealth to outwit and defeat enemies. They are the masters of deception, rather than conventional warriors. This is an apt description of Ryu Sasakura's role as the Warrior of the Wind.
The ninja's very existence was mysterious to most people until they were documented by European travelers. Their skill was attributed to supernatural magic, but there is substantial evidence that they were trained warriors who were highly proficient in armed combat.
