This is one of the moments in the movie where I got really irritated at Paul Giamatti. It's funny, because "Ratatouille" was one of my favorite movies of the year, and I really like his performance, but I think that every single moment that he's in is annoying. Especially when he's trying to be funny, but his lines are so bad. And not only that, but his voice is really annoying too, because it's like he's trying to be this obnoxious "cool guy" but it's almost like he's trying to sound like a child. And it's really annoying. So I really dislike his character, and I'm glad that he doesn't get any screen time after this scene.
I thought that the scene was funny, because even though the rats don't believe it, they know that Paul Giamatti is actually their friend. And then when they see him get thrown out, the rats get really upset.
I thought it was interesting that the rats get upset when they get thrown out, because it shows us that the rats trust Paul Giamatti.
