I also see your writing as a creative outlet. Did you always know you wanted to pursue writing as a career?
I started writing little stories and poems as a child, and continued throughout my high school years. I loved it. In college, I studied English literature and creative writing, but my main focus was visual art. I was interested in painting and drawing, but my professor didn’t allow us to draw on our final projects.
Therefore, I asked to make a painting on a newspaper instead. There was a competition for it, and I won! After that, I realized that I wanted to create a book, but I was not sure what would be the best way to do it. I happened to move to Mexico City in 2010, and an old friend of mine from college suggested I should start a blog as a creative outlet, as well as to learn more about marketing. So I did.
I have been blogging since then. I have been writing professionally since November 2016.
