Cain Dingle joined the Dingle family's farm in fourteenth century Gormanston. He became a knight, but he did not really care for this. Instead, he became a farmer. When the Baileys lost their farm, Cain did his best to keep it going. After a while of having a farm of his own, he was tricked into leaving it by the two Bailey kids, Bridget and Kevin. He worked in the fields for a few months, until he was let go when the Dingle family needed help in the fields. Cain returned to the farm where he worked in the fields for six months. He then went to Liverpool to find another job, but he got fired when he got back to Ireland. After this, Cain ran away from his problems and went to America to find work.
He was very easy to notice when he first arrived in America because of his horrible accent. Cain usually gets in fights in bars because of that accent. He is also very superstitious, like when he said that he wanted the place that he was staying at burnt down.
