Alice Charles personality type is INTJ, although there is no doubt that this personality type is overly represented in the Federal Government. It is because of this overrepresentation and the fear and skepticism that many people (including me) have about this personality type, that we should question the role of this personality type.
Well, I’m going to do this, because I think we should question the role of the INTJ in government.
So, here’s why I think we should question the INTJ, and why I think that should be part of the larger conversation about the Federal Government and the role of the INTJ.
Myth #1: INTJs are mostly in positions of power and authority in government.
While this is true, and there are many INTJ types who fill these positions, it is an overgeneralization to say that all INTJs hold positions of power and authority. There are certainly INTJs who do not hold positions of power and authority in government, particularly in non-political positions such as in academia or business. There are also many INTJs who work for the government, but do not hold positions of power and authority.
Myth #2: INTJs are smart and can get ahead in government.
