What do you think is the most valuable thing they need to know about you?
I think they need to know I’m not perfect. I’m not always perfect, I make mistakes, and I’m human. And if I’m not willing to own up to those mistakes and be accountable for them, then I’m not being honest.
Who is your mentor?
My mom. I had a tough childhood growing up, and I always try to be an example of what she did right and what she did wrong. I’m lucky to have her as my biggest hero.
What makes you happy?
I like being alone in nature, either in a tree or on the beach. But the place I really like to be is in the kitchen cooking. It’s a really relaxing thing for me.
What is your advice for young women?
I think that if you have dreams, and you set your mind to them, and believe in yourself, it’s going to happen. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
