I think there is a bit of a misconception about the consort yu personality type. I am not sure if it's due to the fact that there are so many different scenarios of what a consort is, or if it's just because personalities get more complicated the more you get into the more you study them. I think that more of the people that seem to get into consort yu get into it because of the fact that they see it as a nice romantic story and feel like they can relate to it. Whereas I think that, for people who truly want to understand the personality type, it's important to look at all aspects of it and what it entails and not just what appears to be interesting. It's interesting to me because it's a setup where the husband doesn't really have to do anything and can be satisfied with his wife. I just find the whole thing interesting and challenging because I feel like I'm getting to understand myself better than I would by just focusing on one aspect of my personality.
I do think that consort yu would be more common if there was a little more freedom in marriage.
