The ESTP is a popular type because they are the most outgoing of the four in the Myers-Briggs system. They are the natural communicators, the ones who get things done, the ones who can do anything.
ESTPs are notoriously hard to work with, however. They lack the introspective nature of the INTJ and the meticulous nature of the INFJ. They are not necessarily bad people; they just don’t think before acting, and they don’t take the time to figure out why they are acting.
The ESTP is like a fire-breathing dragon that doesn’t care who it burns, or even why it is doing this. It just fires and fires and fires, and then, when there is nothing left to burn, it does something else.
ESTPs are not likely to spend days on end analyzing their own motivations for doing something, or thinking about whether or not they should do something. If they do, it is only because they are forced to, not because they enjoy it.
