Torn personality type is ISTJ, and I am definitely an ISTJ. I’m also a highly sensitive person, which is probably why I’ve had such a hard time dealing with people as an adult.
After I had my first daughter, I’d been counseled by a friend who had just become a mom, and she had said, “Don’t expect to be easy. You’re going to have to work hard to be a good mom.” To me, that sounded like a death sentence. I thought if I’m not easy, I’m not going to be a good mom.
For the first six months after my daughter was born, I was on my own quite a bit. I worked part-time at the university where I had my first daughter and went back to work full-time when her school started. It was during this time that I had my first panic attack. My daughter was in her car seat in the back of my car, and I was getting ready to drive off when I realized she wasn’t buckled into the car seat. She was sitting in her baby seat, sitting right in the middle of the back seat.
Torn is a primary support character in Jak II, Jak 3, and Jak X: Combat Racing. He is a former captain of the Krimzon Guard before he resigned to lead the rebel Underground movement, a resistance against Baron Praxis and the tyrannical Krimzon Guard in Jak II. After the reformation of the New Krimzon Guard into the Freedom League, he regained his position as head captain, and led the Freedom League in the War for Haven City during Jak 3. He was also one of the five characters to be poisoned in the events of Jak X: Combat Racing, and thus became a racer during that game. He is the primary love interest of Ashelin Praxis.
