To take a more scientific look at this, I took a review of the Myers-Briggs data from a prior post (here) and filtered out only those who were not self-employed. I also excluded those who indicated they were students or interns, because that was too small a sample to get any conclusions. Then I took the mean MBTI scores of each group and compared it to the mean overall MBTI scores of all types.
In general, this is what I found:
1. The average MBTI score for the ENTJ type is slightly higher than the overall mean MBTI score of ENTJ types (considering only those who are not self-employed). On average, ENTJs are slightly more extroverted than the average MBTI ENTJ.
2. The average MBTI score for the ESTP type is slightly higher than the overall mean MBTI score of ESTP types (considering only those who are not self-employed). On average, ESTPs are slightly more extraverted than the average MBTI ESTP.
