The Other Father personality type is ISFP, and they share a lot of traits with him and their relationship with his son and him as a father, which is why I think those two fit together so well.
Jessica herself is the ISFP, and her relationship with her father is very close, as she is able to confide in him and he is able to listen. While she is the dominant parent for the most part, it is clear that her father has a great influence on her and she has a great desire to please him.
Holly and Jim shared a lot of similarities as well, but their personalities were totally different enough that they shared very few traits. Holly was the dominant parent and had more power and control over Jim and had more personality traits that he did, but he was still able to confide in her and trust her.
In my opinion, they both had a very close relationship with their father, but it was very different from each other. In fact, most of them seemed to be very similar to their fathers, but very different from each other.
While the show was focused primarily on the relationships between them and their fathers, I believe that their individual personalities were what carried the whole show.
