However, he is more than willing to help people in need and he is also very caring about his Pokemon.
In the second season of the anime, he has a more open personality and he grew out of his shell a bit. He is no longer afraid to show his feelings and emotions and seems to have made some friends at the gym. He also grew out of his introverted nature and became more confident and friendly.
