Marguerite Gachet personality type is ISFP, and she is a very different character than the other ISFPs we’ve met. She is the only ISFP we’ve encountered that can be described as a “Certifiable Crazy Person”. And yet, the ISFP in her was able to pull it off.
Why did she do it? Her ISFP nature probably had something to do with it, but it’s also hard not to notice that she was a woman in a man’s world. She was a genius in a field dominated by men, and she was surrounded by men who were all about their science and their science careers, and were willing to overlook her eccentricities in order to get on her good side.
But she wasn’t crazy for being a woman in a man’s world. She was crazy for being a woman who was crazy, and it took an ISFP to be crazy in a crazy place.
