In school, Keiichiro was always picked last for the track team. In the end, he is the one who finds the DNA evidence that proves the killer's guilt.
The anime series is based on the manga of the same name by Shuichi Aru, which was serialized in Kodansha's "Weekly Morning" magazine from 2008 to 2010. The manga was later compiled into seven "tankōbon" (collected volumes). The manga was licensed by Kodansha Comics USA and released in North America in 2010. The manga was also licensed by Yen Press in 2011.
In July 2009, Haikasoru announced that it had licensed the series. Haikasoru released the first volume in October 2010 with cover art by Yùkichi Takahashi.
