Shoggoth personality type is ISTJ, with a dominant function of Se, a secondary function of Ti, and a tertiary function of Te. This means that they are most comfortable in environments where they can express their rationality and practicality. Se is the rationalizing function, Ti is the perspective-taking function, and Te is the people-loving function. In the case of the Shoggoth, this means that it will be most comfortable when it can interact with other real-world creatures. This love for real-world creatures is a bit ironic, considering the nature of the Shoggoth itself. Most of its primary function will be Se, so it's going to have a hard time if it never interacts with anything in the real world. It's also going to have a hard time with an ISTJ dominant type, who will have a hard time dealing with it. Because its tertiary function is Te, though, the Shoggoth will adapt to different environments and adapt to its environment by finding new ways to interact with it. The Se rationalizer will help the Shoggoth adapt to different physical environments, while the Ti perspective-taker will be able to connect with other creatures without compromising its own morality.
