Wilbur Whateley personality type is INTJ, which is the most common personality type for people from the second book. However, in the third book, there is a character called Robert, who has the Whateley personality. In the book, Robert has a mind that has been completely lost to Whateley's influence.
He was fourteen years old when he first met them in 1922. At that time he was very much a normal boy, and he went to school. Then, in 1924, when he was fifteen, he received a letter from his uncle, saying that his mother had died in a fire and instructing him to come to the Whateleys' home in New Hampshire. He took this letter to mean that his mother was alive, and when he got there he was disappointed to find that she was actually dead. The Whateleys told him that her soul had been temporarily trapped in the body of a botanist who lived in Germany, and that she would return to life when the botanist died. When this happened, they said, she would return to her son.
Robert went on to become an important figure in the Whateley cult and also did some research on the subject of psychic powers.
