He's also the only one who never actually met Kaitou before joining Kaitou's operation.
The fact that he has no idea who Kaitou is and that everyone else has, makes him feel like he doesn't fit in at all. He is also the only one who doesn't know Kaitou's true identity.
He was recruited into the team after hearing that he would be joining a team where they will be breaking into places to steal things. He immediately decided to join, and became the first ever member, and the only one who didn't meet Kaitou until after joining.
