    Original manga [ edit ]

    The series follows a 20-year-old man named Jong-gil who is a private detective working in a small town in South Korea. He has been hired by a corrupt businessman to find out where his illegitimate son, Lee Dong-gun, has been hidden after he is found trying to steal from a poor family's house. Jong-gil's route to becoming a private detective is also explored, including his time working in a strip club.

    The series ran for 12 chapters, and was serialized in the men's magazine Young King Detectives between 2001 and 2002. The series was later compiled into 4 volumes by Young Jump.

    The series was adapted into two films, one released in South Korea on December 15, 2007 and the other released in Japan on November 27, 2008.

    Anime [ edit ]

    The series was directed by Masakazu Hashimoto and produced by Production I.G under the direction of Makoto Shinkai. The screenplay was written by Masaharu Takahashi.
