AURORA – Animal personality type is ISFP, according to the International Society for the Study of Personality.
“I’m a cat person,” said Becca Vaz, co-founder of the Facebook group, The Aurora Animal Personality Group. “I have two cats in my home and I’m in love with my animal companions. They are really smart and I enjoy their company.”
Vaz, who has owned cats since she was 16, was diagnosed with ISFP in 2009. She said she had always been a “loner” in school, but once she had her cats, she found she had more friends.
Originally an ISFP herself, Vaz said she doesn’t believe anyone is the same as everyone else. She enjoys spending time with her cats, reading, writing and listening to music.
Vaz said she has noticed a lot of similarities between ISFP and other types: introverts and extroverts, and people who like to be alone and people who like to be with other people.
ISFPs are known for their independent and creative personalities, Vaz said. She plays guitar and writes music and plays it for her cats.
