My first impression of this band was "what a great name for a band". I mean, it's a great name for a band, so why would you have a band named Car Seat Headrest? Maybe because of the car seat headrest, which is a nifty term for the headrest of the backseat of a car that goes back and forth across the middle? Maybe? It doesn't really matter, but what does matter is that this band is fucking great!
Anyway, Car Seat Headrest is a band from Virginia Beach, Virginia. They have been together since 2007. They've been touring around the USA and playing shows and putting out albums and such for a few years now. They've released 2 full length albums: Teens of Style (2014) and the latest, Teens of Denial (2016) and a few singles and EPs. I've heard some of their music before, but I'll be honest, I'm not as familiar with their back catalog as I'd like to be.
Teens of Style is a great album. It's got an indie rock sound to it that's really solid.
