Sheriam Bayanar personality type is ESFJ, but in the past there has been research done on whether or not this is an accurate diagnosis. A recent study published in Personality Disorders states that ESFJs are not, in fact, the most common personality bias in the world (see here for more information). The same study also claims that “the ESFJ personality bias, previously thought to be the most common, is the least frequent of the four most prevalent personality biases.”
This may be because the ESFJ personality bias is not even close to most common, but most likely because the ESFJ is not actually an ESFJ at all.
However, I’m not here to debate the validity of Bayanar personality type. The point is that they are using Bayanar personality type for what it was originally intended, which was to help people understand themselves better. It’s not meant to be a diagnostic tool.
But it has become just that, and there’s even a word for this: orthodontia.
When a person’s self-concept does not match his or her behavioural style, it can cause a great deal of stress and anxiety.
