Sano Chi no Sadame is a game about a man who is forced to kill a woman for the sake of his own skin. It seems to me that this game is more about that man's struggle with inner conflicts than it is a particularly enjoyable murder-fest.
The game takes place in a gray, dystopian future in which superpowers have become commonplace and have created a world where the average person can be "undead" in a sense. The game's central character, Sano, has been infected with the "Virus" and must find a way to survive by killing off other "undead."
The graphics are sparse and unimpressive, but the characters are very well-rendered. Although I'm not very fond of the game's art, I did enjoy the characters' designs and how they were portrayed.
For the most part, the audio matches the visuals, with the sound effects being a bit low-rent. The music, however, is quite good; it sets the tone of each scene perfectly. It's quite sparse in terms of orchestral works, but it's perfectly suited to the game's dark atmosphere.
