My girlfriend is a driven perfectionist and works hard at her career. She's always been a bit of a perfectionist, but I've noticed in the last year or so that she's become more of a workaholic than a perfectionist. Her work ethic is outstanding. She's strongly motivated by what she believes in and is extremely driven. She's an excellent communicator and has been for her whole life. I've always been attracted to very driven, driven people. As much as I love the person that I am and all of the things I do, I would love to be even more driven and ambitious. The part of me that's wanting that is sort of in conflict with the part of me that's curious and open-minded. It's a constant battle for me. I would love to be more ambitious and more driven, but I've always been really curious and open-minded about everything.

Karen Aoki: I think it's important to have a balance between the two, but it's also important to have goals and to pursue them.
