Lorde - Supercut personality type is INFP, for those wondering. I, too, am a bit of a perfectionist. That being said, I have a hard time with absolutes, which is why I'm so interested in the idea of the "perfect society" as opposed to the "perfect person." As much as I'd love to be able to live in a society where everyone was happy and healthy and had good jobs and good relationships and all that, I think it's unrealistic to assume that we could do it. If you expect people to live up to your expectations, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. You might expect someone to be happy all the time, but that doesn't mean that they will. Give them the chance to be happy. Give them the chance to be sad. Give them the chance to be unhappy. Give them the chance to be all of those things. When you stop expecting people to live up to your standards, you'll find that you'll be much happier for it.
