pixies- head carrier personality type is INFP, but her subtype ISFJ has the same dominant nature. She's a selfless person, focused on others' needs, and she likes to put other people's needs above her own. She is very much the picture of the "idealistic type" that Myers-Briggs describes as hedonistic, or "enchanter" in the MBTI parlance.
She's also probably the most well-read person I know. I haven't seen her read anything remotely resembling a romance novel, though she may have started after she left the military. She says she wouldn't know how to read one if she saw it, but I'm sure she could.
She's very much one of those people who "reads the book", who observes life closely and synthesizes what she observes into a thoughtful perspective that then helps her write fiction. She spends hours thinking about the world around her, then translates that into words on paper. I think, for instance, that she has a much better sense of how time works than I do.
That said, she is also an idealist, who wants to believe that people are generally good, and can work together for the good of all.
