The Front Bottoms - Father personality type is ISTP, so when the band was being formed, it was a joint effort that included a strong ISFP personality. When the band's drummer, Sean Scanlon, was in a car accident in 2012, he dealt with his injuries in a way that would have been typical of an ISFP personality.

"He's a very quiet, soft-spoken guy," said Egerton's brother, Alex Egerton. "He's a very humble guy. He doesn't like to talk about himself. He puts himself in the background."
The Front Bottoms released their newest album, "Taking One for the Team," in August. They were scheduled to perform at Boston Calling Music Festival this week. But the band announced Monday that it won't be traveling to New England because of Egerton's illness.
