Tobias "Toby" J. Fox (born March 2, 1992) is an American musician and singer-songwriter from Howell, Michigan. Fox is best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the band MewithoutYOU. He is also known for his solo career, which has written and recorded material under the name Toby Fox. He has also recorded music under various names such as Emo Phillips and The Family Crest. His debut solo album, A Flirt With Disaster, was released on June 12, 2011.
Fox was born in Howell, Michigan and began playing guitar at age three. At age 14, he became a fan of MewithoutYou and their music. In 2006, he moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music. Fox formed a band with a friend and a few others, but they disbanded in 2008 due to a lack of interest in the band.
