In the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the INFJs are the rarest of the 16 personality types. INFJs are rare because their dominant trait is Introversion. For most of the Myers-Briggs types, Introversion is a secondary trait, which means that they can be extroverts as well as introverts. INFJs are introverts by nature, but they also have a strong preference for being alone.

In fact, INFJs become uncomfortable easily in social situations, and they often don't want to be around people unless they're doing something productive. This makes them poor candidates for day jobs with a lot of social interaction. People with INFJ personality types often prefer careers with a lot of solitude and focus.

The INFJ is likely to be an artist or writer. They might be actors and dancers as well. They might even be philosophers and doctors. INFJs tend to be very good communicators with their friends and family and they enjoy helping people. They also enjoy helping other people do what they need to do in order to accomplish their goals.
