Yohio - My Nocturnal Serenade personality type is ENTP, so it's not surprising that I would be drawn to the elder care industry. I've been working in a retirement home for the past 2 years and it's been a very rewarding and educational experience. I also have a strong interest in psychology and counseling, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to do this work in a retirement home as I'm not licensed in the state I'm currently living in.
I enjoy working with people, especially seniors. I've witnessed first-hand the effects of isolation, depression, and other mental issues that can arise from being alone in one's home for an extended period of time. So I would love to be a part of a team that helps relieve some of these stresses.
I'm currently working on my bachelor's degree in psychology and biology at Cleveland State University, so I definitely want to hone my research skills with this position as well. I enjoy working in retirement homes because it allows me to see how my clients interact with their environment, which is something I can take into my future research projects.
