Semisonic - Closing Time personality type is ISFP, Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, Perceiving. I am a woman of many interests, but music is my first love. I have spent many hours singing for myself, with friends, and at my church. I am most fulfilled when I am singing with others or writing new songs. Music makes me happy and brings me joy. I am most comfortable surrounded by people who share my passion for music.

Musical Theatre - As a very young child I was always the kid who would dance around the recital stage at church during the processional. This continued through childhood and into high school, where I started attending drama classes. This led to me auditioning for musical theatre auditions here in Austin.

Choir - As a child, my voice was always pretty strong. I sang in the choir at church, and sang solo in the choir at weddings and funerals. I continued to sing after high school, now getting paid to sing for weddings and funerals.

    Interests & Hobbies

Music - As mentioned above, music is my first love. I love to sing along with music on the radio or in my car or singing with friends at church or at our monthly jam.

“Closing Time” is a song by American rock band Semisonic. It was released on March 10, 1998, as the lead single from their second studio album, Feeling Strangely Fine, and began to receive mainstream radio airplay on April 27, 1998. The ballad was written by Dan Wilson and produced by Nick Launay.

Prior to the composition “Closing Time”, Semisonic would usually end their concerts with the song “If I Run”. The band grew tired of playing this song every night and so Wilson set out to write a new song that they could play at the end of their set. Wilson's girlfriend was pregnant at the time and although Wilson did not set out consciously to write a song about giving birth, he has stated that, "partway into the writing of the song, I realized it was also about being born."
