Nirvana - Hairspray Queen personality type is ENTP, so I can definitely see a connection. I'm an ENTP myself, and I love the Hairspray character, as well as the book. I've always disliked the movie, though.
murphy: I just discovered a great fan film - it's on YouTube, with a comic book script that takes place during the movie. It's called "Hairspray", and there's also a sequel called "Hairspray 2" that's closing in on completion.

murphy: I found out about it from the TvTropes site - they do a lot of great analysis of movies, and also film trailers. It's always interesting stuff to read about, and it got me thinking about fan fiction for the movie, which led me to some serious fan fiction for the first movie. There are a few people out there who are huge fans of the movie and have made some excellent fanfic. One of the best ones is called "In the Attic", based on one of the songs in the movie.
