    The singer and songwriter, born into a musical family, was raised in a modest home in Detroit, Michigan. At the age of 13, Stevie Wonder was given an electric guitar by his father, who was a guitar player. He was so inspired by it that he took lessons and started playing guitar himself. He wrote his first song at the age of 14 and began performing to small crowds.

    Stevie Wonder's musical career really started in 1964, when he was invited to play at the Motown studio. He was signed to the label, and it wasn't long before he became one of the most popular artists on the label. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Stevie Wonder released a number of hits such as "My Cherie Amour", "You Are the Sunshine of My Life", "Superstition" and "Sir Duke". He also released several albums and won several awards including the Grammy for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Male Artist.
