The Smiths - Bigmouth Strikes Again personality type is INFP, because I'm an INFP and I think that's accurate. I find it very odd that the MBTI doesn't even attempt to define what it means to be an "introvert" or "extrovert" - it seems like a fairly easy concept to define and pigeon-hole. I think it is because we all know what we're talking about, and we're all fairly confident that we know what we're talking about. (But I'm wrong. I'm wrong. I'm wrong. You're all wrong.)I think this is because we all know what we're talking about so much that we don't even realize how much we don't know about it. Every person has a way of understanding and experiencing the world that they can comfortably identify as their own, and it's stereotyped as the only way to experience the world. Once you're aware of that stereotype, you can start to learn more about the world and the people you're dealing with by studying your own behavior and your own experiences, and that's how we learn things. It's not that everyone always knows, but that everyone has a way of knowing that is different than everyone else's, and it's stereotyped as being right.
